The ACR128 is a dual interface USB PC-linked reader and is compliant to ISO 7816 Part 1-3 Class A and B for contact cards and ISO 14443 Part 1-4 Type A, B for contactless cards.
The reader is PC/SC 2.01 compliant for contact and contactless interfaces and makes use of high-speed communication for PICC’s (contactless cards) with a maximum speed of 848 kbps. To ensure security within your applications the ACR128 has a built-in SAM card slot. The contact reader utilises a landing contact to minimise damage to cards and to ensure more reliable card operations.
The solid yet sleek case is designed so that it can detect a contactless card even if it is inserted in the contact card slot. This well thought out design makes the reader easy to use in either a contact or contactless capacity and is an attractive addition to any combined use environment.
The ACR128 is compatible with Read-a-Card, the contactless card ID reading application, useful for the integration of RFID technology into new or existing systems.
