The SCR3340 from SCM is a lightweight contact smartcard reader in ExpressCard format. ExpressCard is designed to enable smaller and faster PC card solutions for next generation PCs, and has already been implemented in the latest laptops.
The reader meets ISO 7816 and EMV level 1 standards, has a USB 2.0 full-speed interface and comes complete with WHQL approved drivers for Windows as well as support for Linux and MacOS. As with most SCM readers the SCR3340 is firmware upgradable to allow for future enhancements.
The SCR3340 comes supplied in a durable metal housing and has a well designed lip for convenient smartcard insertion and removal.
