The Omnikey 4040 has an excellent reputation for being a high quality PCMCIA reader, offering users the capability to manage their various smartcard activities 'on the move'. The reader has a helpful plastic card guide, which, once the reader has been inserted, is all that can be seen from the outside. Smartcards slide two thirds of the way in, leaving an ample amount outside for easy retraction.
