The Gemalto .NET card (IM v2+) provides a highly secure method of storing digital signatures, providing two factor authentication and support for other PKI based applications within the Windows environment. With its ability to also run on-card applications and services within the .NET framework, it provides a versatile development platform for additional security applications. Support for this smart card is integrated within Windows without the requirement for 3rd party applications, which simplifies implementation while reducing cost of ownership.
This version of the Gemalto .NET card includes a built-in contactless Mifare 4K chip, providing a useful combination that can be used for logical and physical access control and other such applications.- Strong, two-factor authentication; aligned with Microsoft’s Crypto Next Generation architecture
