The class 2 smart card reader SPR532 from SCM is especially designed for home banking, e-Commerce or digital signature applications. It is specifically designed to protect your PIN code from theft or unauthorized sources while connected to the network. The PIN code is directly entered into the integrated keypad and sent to the smart card – without being transmitted to a PC.
The SPR532 is based on SCM’s STC II micro controller chip with on-board flash. The on-board flash-memory enables seamless firmware upgrades in the field to adapt the reader to current requirements and prevent obsolescence.
The reader combines USB and serial connections via a removable cable.
