EH880 Secure Smart Card Terminal
The eH880 from ACS is a secure and feature-rich desktop terminal which includes dual contact smart card readers and a contactless card interface, and which has USB, serial RS232 connectivity and integrated TCP/IP networking support. The device also has multiple internal SAM slots, a high resolution monochrome graphical LCD, a durable user-friendly keypad and a higly effective audible speaker.
Aimed at application areas where mutual authentication between multiple cards is required, this flexible terminal platform can be used in both on-line (PC-connected) and off-line (stand-alone) modes, providing several options for software application development.
Approved to EMV Level 1, the eH880 is compliant with PC/SC, ISO7816 and ISO14443A & B, and supports PC/SC with secure PIN entry (SPE). Comes complete with USB, serial and Ethernet cables, and a 12V switching European-style power adapter (110-240V).
Based on a powerful 32-bit ARM9 processor and embedded Linux, developers will need to purchase the associated SDK to obtain full documentation, drivers and code samples.
