The GemPC ExpressCard reader from Gemalto allows the use of smartcards for most laptops and PDA's with an ExpressCard slot and incorporates GemCore PRO, Gemalto's market leading single chip interface. GemPC ExpressCard uses a robust steel case and works in 54mm ExpressCard slots.
The GemPC ExpressCard reader meets the EMV specifications version 4.0, supports all ISO 7816 class A, B and C cards (5 V, 3 V and 1.8 V), all ISO 7816 TA1 parameters (up to 344 Kbps) and extended APDU commands as well as being PC/SC and EMV level 1 approved.
The reader comes complete with WHQL approved drivers for Windows as well as support for other operating systems such as Linux.
The GemPC ExpressCard reader is a high-performance, compact and lightweight smartcard reader/writer and allows the implementation of smartcard applications in an on the move environment.
