The ACR38 USB desktop reader from ACS is a high speed USB 2.0 device housed in a modern silver effect case. This reader is fully PC/SC, CCID and EMV Level 1 compliant and supports all ISO 7816 microprocessor-based smartcards as well as numerous popular memory cards.
Perfect for many smartcard-based applications on desktop PCs, the reader comes complete with WHQL approved Windows drivers, as well as support for other operating systems such as Linux.
The ACR38 is a popular and cost-effective smartcard reader that complies with the latest industry specifications. The durable, attractive case design provides the user with easy access to the card slot and a clearly visible status LED.
Note that this reader has the very latest V112 firmware - non-PC/SC software written for older versions of the ACR38, or applications using low-cost memory cards may need to be updated slightly.
