This SkimStopper product is a luxury leather wallet that has built-in RFID protection which prevents 13.56MHz contactless cards from being read whilst contained in the closed wallet.
The introduction of contactless (RFID) technology in mainstream applications such as Oyster cards (London Transport) and credit cards has brought concerns about data security. The RFID-Blocking Leather Wallet provides a simple solution to this worry by making it impossible for data to be read, altered or copied, from contactless cards, like such as the Oyster card, operating at 13.56 MHz.
This product is also a FIPS-201 approved electromagnetically opaque shield.

RFID-Blocking Card Holder with Extender
This SkimStopper product has a built in RFID card protection sheet which prevents 13.56MHz contactless cards being read whilst inserted in the card holder. Its hinged back results in the card’s RFID capabilities being inactive until the holder is squeezed open.
Also included is a retractable card holder extender with an 80cm pull cord. Together these items produce a smart, secure way of protecting contactless cards against unwanted access, whilst maintaining the ease of authorised use.
Reports exposing security issues with several high profile applications of contactless (RFID) technology such as passports and Oyster cards have resulted the introduction of RFID blocking devices. This SkimStopper product is a credit card size sleeve for protecting 13.56MHz RFID cards against unwanted access. It contains a special protection sheet which blocks RFID signals from reaching the card whilst inserted.

This product is also a US Government FIPS-201 approved electromagnetically opaque shield. These risks are considered enough of a threat by the US government that they have instigated the roll out of RFID-Blocking Card Sleeves across their General Services Administration.
