The 3121 USB landing desktop reader from Omnikey offers popular technology in a classic housing. This reader has landing contacts and is fully PC/SC and EMV Level 1 compliant and supports all ISO 7816 microprocessor-based smartcards as well as a variety of popular memory cards. It also meets USB 2.0 and CCID specifications for simple installation.

The reader is plug-and-play on Windows, with support for other major operating systems such as Linux, and is ideal for all smartcard applications.

The Omnikey 3121 landing is a durable smartcard reader that can be used in very high transaction volume environments, or where marks on the contact plate need to be minimised (for example card initialisation/applet loading).

This model comes complete with a lightweight foot for vertical desktop use and an integrated sticky pad for alternative mounting. Optional heavy feet for additional stability are also available, which also offer the user an alternate desktop mounting position.

The readers are single chip solutions that have been certified in many territories.
All readers come with a complimentary light base that enables the reader to sit comfortably on the user's desk. An integrated bi-colour (red and green) LED indicates successful supply of power to the reader and insertion of card.
