Key-ID Encoder provides a quick and convenient way of encoding blank DESFire EV1 and EV2 cards for access control applications. It allows you to manage the various encryption keys in hardware using a Security SAM (which is similar to the SIM card for your mobile phone).

If you are using Key-ID Encoder software, you may find that you need a number of these security tokens, to distribute, in order to roll out the use of Key-ID Encoder across your organisation. The token is a security SAM, based on the NXP SAM AV2, supplied installed in a contactless ACR39T reader.

If you have not yet bought Key-ID Encoder software, be aware that the Key-ID Encoder software starter kit includes one of these tokens.
