The FeliCa RC-S300, also known as the PaSoRi, from Sony is a USB reader/writer that conforms to NFC specifications as well as various other contactless technologies, including FeliCa, FeliCa mobile, ISO 14443 A/B, ISO 18092, and ISO 15693. It has been designed with access control, online payment, ID and loyalty applications in mind.

The RC-S300 is a replacement for the popular RC-S380 which is no longer in production. The most significant difference besides the wider range of cards and passes supported is the small green LED to show communication between card and reader. Applications developed for RC-S380 should work with RC-S300.

The FeliCa RC-S300 is PC/SC 2.0 compliant. Operating environments supported include Windows 10, 11 and macOS from 10.15 onwards
This model comes complete with a simple and convenient stand and a detachable USB cable. Instructions are included in the box and drivers, if needed, can be downloaded for free from the Sony website.

This reader is designed to work with existing FeliCa software applications or alternatively can be used in conjunction with the appropriate SDK from Sony. An NFC Starter Kit SDK is can be downloaded for free from the Sony website.
