Smartcard Focus is a value added reseller of smartcard related products and solutions, owned and operated by specialist distributor Dot Distribution Ltd.. The company has been operating in this marketplace for over five years, with staff who have extensive technical experience in this field as well as in hardware and software product design and management. We are independent of all card and reader manufacturers, and have built up an impressive reputation for offering in-depth, impartial, advice on the many and complex aspects involved in choosing products to suit every application.
We focus on contact-based smartcards and equipment that complies with the ISO-7816 set of standards, which represent the majority of chip-enabled plastic cards that are found across the world in applications ranging from GSM mobile telephony to computer security and debit/credit-card payments. We also offer equipment and cards that operate by wireless communications, such as Mifare and ISO 14443-based products. We do not deal with flash memory cards such as those used in digital cameras, which are also, confusingly, sometimes called “smart cards”.
At Smartcard Focus, we strive to offer a personalised service, which includes both pre- and post-sales advice and technical support. We are a UK-based company with a world-wide vision and are able to ship products to most parts of the globe, dealing with the necessary customs and shipping issues as and when required. We have invested significantly in our web-based shop, which enables you to order directly in your favoured currency, and we hold most products in stock in reasonable volumes to enable fast fulfilment of all orders.
