The MorseCode Drive is a 1Gb USB flash drive with built-in hardware security. Housed in a desirable blue and brushed metal case, this neat device protects all access to stored data through a user-chosen PIN code, which must be entered before the drive activates.
This USB 1.1 and 2.0 compliant device supports Windows 98SE – XP, Mac 9.X and Linux kernel 2.4.X and above. It is fully plug-and-play and so requires no drivers for Windows ME, 2000 or XP. The USB cable fits neatly into the back of the unit, which also comes with a carry case and USB extension cable.
The product comes complete with extra applications on CD to enable various additional software features, although its prime purpose is simply to PIN-protect access to stored files, which on standard flash drives are freely readable by anyone. Each MorseCode Drive comes with a unique recovery code that is used if the PIN is forgotten or the device is locked after multiple failed PIN attempts.
