A versatile development platform for security applications.
The Gemalto .NET smartcard provides two factor authentication and support for other PKI based applications within the Windows environment and also has the ability to run on-card applications and services within the .NET framework. Support for the card is integrated within Windows without the requirement for 3rd party applications, which simplifies implementation whilst reducing cost of ownership.
Gemplus’ GemPC Twin USB desktop reader integrates high quality and functionality with a contemporary design incorporating a sleek see-through case allowing you to see the card when inserted. This reader is fully PC/SC and EMV Level 1 compliant and supports all ISO 7816 microprocessor-based smartcards as well as many popular memory cards. The GemPC Twin is compact and boasts performance to match many other leading brand readers.
The combination of these products with a development CD containing the .NET smartcard framework, a GUI tool for card content management, documentation formatted as MS Help files, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Plug-In (Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 or 2005 must be preinstalled) and templates and examples for on-card and off-card applications provides a developer with the following facilities:
